France

Pictures I took in France during my China Lake days. Note that the circles indicate where I was.

* Paris *

The Eiffel Tower.
The Arc de Triomphe is a monument in Paris that honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. It stands at the western end of the Champs-Elysees(a major road) in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle.
The Louvre Museum is a historic monument, and a national museum of France opened on 10 August 1793. Nearly 35,000 objects from the 6th millennium BC to the 19th century AD are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square meters (652,300 square feet).
The Notre-Dame Cathedral. The cathedral construction started in 1163, but it was not completed until roughly 180 years later in about 1345. Built in an age of illiteracy, the cathedral retells the stories of the Bible in its portals, paintings, and lots of stained glass. Here is the front.
Here is the biggest stained glass window (from the inside).

Paris, France (looking towards the Eiffel tower).
Another skyline view of Paris.
I was in Paris in late May (a perfect time for Paris) and this is one of many little parks. Paris is a beautiful city and my favorite place.

Merci!
